Some helpful information to assist with planning your journey

The Lord Aberdeen: Klaus and his staff have supported our event since 1989, when the event first came to Silver Star Mountain. The Hotel features one and two bedroom apartments all with full kitchens. The two bedroom units CAN sleep 6, but there is only one bathroom, so if you are thrifty and low maintenance, it could be the answer. There is a 'community' hot tub and a sauna. There are two one-bedroom units that have private hot tubs (the one bedroom units can sleep 4).
There is a Grocery-Deli and a Coffee shop located on the 'street level' of the hotel.
If a vacation home is more to your liking, Klaus can usually help you out with locating one that will accommodate your group.

Long John's Pub: Long John's is located in the lower street level of the Lord Aberdeen, just a short crawl from your apartment! John Sharpe has been a supporter of the COPS since long before Long John's was built. He and his staff provide excellent service to our group. The chef and kitchen staff turn out some great meals and hearty snacks. We are blessed to have a great place to gather each afternoon.

Silver Star Mountain Ski School and Race Crew: Another great partnership for the COPS program. This is the only mountain that will put on a Downhill event for a group like ours. There are some great stories about how far they have extended themselves to make our week on their mountain the best it can be.
There is a great ski school program for those who bring little ones.  If you have questions or want testimonials, just post a comment in the guest book, you will be overwhelmed with positive comments!

GETTING TO THE MOUNTAIN:
Traveling by Air: Fly to Kelowna International Airport (KLW). It is serviced by Air Canada, West Jet, Harmony Airways and Horizon Air. These airlines partner with many international carriers and fly direct to Kelowna from Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Seattle. Transfers to the resort are less than an hour and run frequently.
Traveling by Car: Silver Star is located northeast of Vernon, in the north end of the Okanagan Valley. It is a 5 hour drive east of Vancouver. Connect to Highway 97 to Vernon, then follow 48th ave. which becomes Silver Star Road. Follow the road for 22 km (12 mi) direct to the village.
